A third generation blade-sharpening craftsman with a lineage going back nearly 110 years.
Involved in the family business since 1966. Has close friendships with people in the cooking business overseas.
Worked from 2013 as an instructor in the use of Japanese kitchen knives in the Japanese Cultural Program at the University of California, Davis.
Designated by the country as a certified traditional craftsman.
Received the Osaka Prefecture Governor’s Award.
Received the Sakai City Commerce and Industry Achievement Award.
Received the Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Director’s Award and Sakai Meister’s Certification.
Certified as an Osaka Prefecture Excellent Technician (Naniwa Craftsman).
Appointed as Director of the Federation of Sakai Cutlery Commerce and Industry Associations in 2016
